We rent Dometic compressor cool boxes in two sizes: 25 L and 35 L. Pickup in Darmstadt, Steinstraße 16. We briefly walk you through the handling — the boxes are otherwise self-explanatory.
Why a compressor cool box and not thermoelectric?
- Compressor: cools independent of the outside temperature, down to –22 °C. Even in summer at 40 °C your beer stays cold. Far more energy-efficient in continuous operation.
- Thermoelectric (cheaper rental category): cools only relative to outside temperature. At 35 °C outside you'll reach 15 °C inside — too warm for beer.

- 25 L – weekend trip, 1–2 people, short camping trips
- 35 L – family holiday, longer camping trips, 3–4 people, travel with medication
Both boxes run on 12 V/24 V (cigarette lighter) and on 230 V (household socket).

- Perfect for longer trips, camping, or transporting temperature-sensitive products like food or medication.
