Three bikes – optionally four
The Velo Compact is of interest when three bikes travel regularly and a fourth occasionally.
The fourth bike slot can be added during booking for an extra €10.
A maximum of 25 kg per bike is possible. The per-bike limit is therefore lower than on the EasyFold XT 3 and the Epos, which allow 30 kg each.
Up to four bike slots
In its basic configuration the Velo Compact takes three bikes. The extension adds a fourth slot.
The maximum wheelbase is 1250 mm and up to 25 kg per bike is allowed.
E-bikes are possible in principle as long as the individual weight and the total payload are observed. With several heavy e-bikes in particular, the weight limits need close attention.
The only tow-bar carrier with an optional fourth slot
The most important difference is the option to expand to four bikes.
The EasyFold XT 3 and the Epos, by contrast, allow up to 30 kg per bike but are not designed for four bike slots.
The Velo Compact is therefore of particular interest when the number of bikes matters more than the maximum load of each individual slot.
