Roof box 450 litres

For many journeys the 450-litre class is the most sensible middle ground between extra storage and manageable size.

Depending on the model available, roughly 420 to 450 litres of volume are on offer. It is the size class we rent out most often and typically suits families and longer holiday trips where the boot alone is not enough.

If you need only a little extra room, the 300-litre version is often enough. For particularly long items or even more luggage, 500 or 600 litres is the better choice.

This size class offers noticeably more storage than the compact 300-litre roof box.

The size suits bags, soft luggage and other things that would otherwise take up space meant for passengers.

For very long items, look not only at the volume but above all at the interior length of the box you choose.

The 450-litre class sits between the compact 300-litre box and the larger 500- and 600-litre versions.

It offers plenty of storage without automatically being the longest or largest box.
